Holistic Pelvic CareTM

Holistic Pelvic CareTM

Holistic Pelvic Care TM  is a combination of gentle inter-vaginal evaluation and personalized treatment designed to align the pelvis and eliminate pelvic symptoms while enhancing general wellness.

Evaluation

Posture & breathing patterns are observed and pelvic muscles are assessed inter-vaginally to determine where they are actively engaging and where they are not during a pelvic squeeze exercise. Internal pelvic trigger points and tension patterns are also observed. The assessment is followed by treatment to balance the pelvis.

Treatment

Each session is individualized and includes internal bodywork techniques such as inter-vaginal massage, myofascial release and trigger point therapy. Inter-vaginal massage increases blood flow to the pelvic organs, improves alignment and the function of the uterus and the ovaries, brings awareness to the pelvic organs thus re-establishing strength and synergy in the pelvic bowl as well as helping to connect to our creative aspects and receive healing from trauma. Breath work & visualization tools are used to assist physical and energetic balance. This treatment is for all stages of a woman’s life and aids in restoring the pelvic ring as the creative center of your female body. Focus is on returning balance in the pelvic musculature while increase the strength of core muscles, enhancing pelvic vitality, improving sensations and providing support for fertility, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum or trauma / surgery.

What to expect in a holistic pelvic care session:

We review your intake form and discuss what you wish to address and your goals for treatment.      Education of pelvic anatomy and physiology is always included. This is followed by the evaluation.

Treatment always includes bodywork and a home program including life style modifications,   nutritional education and postural exercises.

During My Menses

If you are comfortable, you can receive treatment while you are bleeding, however many decide to reschedule or receive a different type of treatment such as craniosacral therapy during their moon time.

Pregnancy

No internal physical work is done during pregnancy. Other treatments such as visceral mobilization, lymphatic drainage, craiosacral and Maya Abdominal Therapy are recommended.

Post-Partum

Holistic Pelvic Care is helpful post-partum, resolving symptoms such as pelvic pain, discomfort, or pelvic muscle weakness.

For any woman whose experienced a traumatic birth, this work balances the pelvis and aids in their recovery.

Both bodywork and breathwork restore healthy flow of blood, nerve, and energy to the pelvic floor. HPC alleviates low libido: sex drive, decreased sensation, and an inability to achieve orgasm, pelvic pain, bladder incontinence and more.

Six weeks post-partum is the time to begin HPC sessions.

Cesarean Section

Women who have experienced surgical births: Cesarean sections benefit greatly from HPC. HPC addresses imbalances that have occurred as a result of prolonged pushing in attempts to have a vaginal birth, releases trauma in the pelvic that resulted from multiple vaginal exams and attempts at delivery from forceps or vacuum extractions.

HPC supports a woman as she processes out her grief and disappointment from having experienced a surgical birth and helps her to re-establish her center.

Fertility challenge?

Holistic pelvic care provides gentle nourishment to the womb and provides a renewed confidence in the woman’s ability to trust in her own creative center.

What if I had a Hysterectomy, would I benefit?

Yes, you would benefit from receiving a HPC treatment.  Women connect with their pelvic space and revitalize their energetic, intuitive, and creative aspect of their being.
